Imagine a private study table, not a lecture hall
In a regular tuition center or school, you have a crowd. The teacher lectures, and the students listen.
At IOS, our “Group of 5” is like a small team meeting. There are only 5 chairs at the table. The teacher knows every student’s name, their face, and exactly what they are struggling with.
Why is "5" the Magic Number?
Parents often ask, “Why not 1-1?” or “Why not a bigger class?” Here is why 5 is the sweet spot:
Learning from Others’ Mistakes: Sometimes, a student doesn’t even know what question to ask. In a group of 5, another student might ask a brilliant question, and your child thinks, “Oh, I didn’t understand that either! Now I get it.”
Healthy Competition: Studying alone can get lonely or boring. When there are 4 other students, it keeps your child on their toes. If they see their classmates finishing the homework, they want to finish it too. It builds a “team spirit” for exams like O/A Levels.
More Affordable: It is cheaper than the 1-1 Private Trainer option, but you still get 80-90% of the personal attention because the group is so tiny.
At IOS specifically:
You use this mostly for your O/A Level and IGCSE students. This works perfectly because these students are prepping for the same exams and need to solve the same past papers together.
In short: It’s the perfect balance. It has the energy of a classroom but the focus of private tuition.
